Vancouver’s first Megacity and second NANPC is right around the corner. On June 21st and 22nd, Netrunners from all over North American will be on the west coast to compete.

Here’s a look at three of the fiercest competitors who will be attending our event this year.

Alex “Aruzan” Boyd

From: Vancouver born and raised
Notable finishes: World Champion 2024, OKORINA 2 Champion, 4th at NANPC Boston 2024, 1st at Throwback Cascadia 2024

Our current world champion (that’s three for Canada!) Alex works incredibly hard to fine tune his decks. This can include unusual, but undeniably effective tech (50 cards in your deck is great Personal Evolution tech, for example). A founding House Hippo, and now a member of QtM, we can expect more splashes from him in the future.

Ryan “hams” Berg

From: Vancouver area
Notable finishes: NANPC Champion 2024 , 15th at Worlds 2022, BC Regionals Champion 2018

Known for playing “off meta” decks, and making them work incredibly well, Ryan is never to be underestimated. He has been terrorising local corps with both his Drowning Machine Esâ and Hermes Tāo decks for quite some time, along with myriad weird and wonderful corps. Also of note: he doesn’t believe in using dice to pick card accesses. Just “wham, that one!”

Paillu

Notable finishes: Seattle Districts 2025 Champion, 2nd at US Nats East 2024, 6th at Cascadia 2024

A pioneer in new ways to look at PE and how to play against it, Paillu is an avid net damage enthusiast. Ey is also a founding member of QtM, and has held various leadership positions in NSG, including EDI and staff support leads. It’ll be exciting to see what ey brings to Vancouver this year.

Known as a meta filled with sharks, the Vancouver event this year will be as fierce as any.
